FIN 2001  Finance & Urban Economics  (3 Credits )  
Introduction to essential concepts from micro-economics, finance, and accounting, with applications for personal finance, business finance, and public finance.

  
Prerequisite: C or higher in ARC 1005, ARC 1461, HIS 2401 and MGF 1130.  
Corequisite: ARC 2141 and ARC 1126  

  
FIN 2100  Personal Finance  (3 Credits )  
This course is a survey of the problems and techniques of personal financial planning. Topics include consumer credit, insurance, taxes, home ownership, personal investments, managing cash income, controlling expenditures, retirement planning, and estate planning.

  

  
FIN 3400  Financial Management  (3 Credits )  
Students will develop knowledge, skills, and abilities regarding the concepts of financial management such as planning and resource allocation within organizations. In addition to the time-value of money, the nature of financial markets, cost of capital, valuation of stocks & bonds, and financing, there will be a special focus on the process and strategy involved in an organization deciding how to make effective and efficient decisions with limited resources.
