New Student Orientation
New Student Advising and Registration (NSAR) is a required orientation for first time in college students and a crucial step toward a successful transition to college life. NSAR offers new students the chance to connect with staff from academic advising, admissions, and financial aid, as well as with other students. During the session, students will be introduced to essential tools and resources that will support their academic success at LSSC, including a personalized Student Educational Plan (SEP) to guide first-semester course planning.
Key components of NSAR include:
- The Registration Handbook
- Course selection and scheduling
- Introduction to online tools and support
- Overview of policies and procedures
To learn more about NSAR or to register for a session, visit the orientation webpage. Transfer students are encouraged, though not required, to complete the NSAR orientation.
