B.A.S.
Bachelor of Applied Science
Four-year degree designed to accommodate the unique demands for direct entry and advancement within specific workforce sectors.
B.S.
Bachelor of Science
Four-year degree that prepares a student to enter an advanced position within a specialized career field.
A.T.C.
Advanced Technical Certificate
A program of instruction that includes 9-45 credit hours of college level courses, which is designed for students who have already received an associate degree and are seeking specialized instruction to supplement their associate degree.
A.A.
Associate in Arts
Two-year degree that is designed for transfer to a university to receive a bachelor’s degree. The A.A. is awarded upon the completion of 60 college credit hours in a selected course of study, which includes the completion of 36 credit hours of General Education.
A.S.
Associate in Science
Two-year technical degree that prepares a student to enter a specialized career field and contains at least 15-18 credit hours of transferable General Education.
C.C.C.
College Credit Certificate
A program of instruction of less than 60 credit hours of college level courses, which is part of an A.A., A.S., or A.A.S. degree program that prepares a student for direct entry into employment.
