Admissions Policies
Admission to the College
Before enrolling in credit courses at LSSC, prospective students are required to submit an online application for admission and pay the non-refundable application fee (if applicable). To begin the enrollment process, complete an application for admission.
All students must submit official high school transcripts or GED scores verifying the completion of:
- A standard high school diploma
- A high school equivalency diploma as defined in Florida Statutes 1003.435
- A signed affidavit submitted by the parent or legal guardian of a home education student attesting that the student has completed a home education program pursuant to the requirements of Florida Statutes 1002.41
- Previously demonstrated competency in College credit post- secondary coursework in accordance with section 1007.263, Florida Statutes. The College defines this competency as any student who has received an associate degree (A.A., A.S., A.A.S.) or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education
Students who have previously attended a college or university must request an official transcript from each institution attended. Transcripts must be official and sent directly to the LSSC Registrar's Office electronically or through US Mail. Students are encouraged to request their transcripts as early as possible to ensure complete records and accurate academic advising.

Important Note: Any official transcripts submitted directly by the student must remain in the original sealed envelope provided by the institution. Transcripts that have already been opened will not be accepted.
