Admissions Policies

Before enrolling in credit courses at LSSC, new student applicants must submit a completed online application for admission as well as pay the non-refundable application fee (if applicable). For further information about all admissions processes, visit LSSC’s Admissions website at: https://enroll.lssc.edu/admissions.

All students must submit official transcripts or GED scores verifying the completion of:

  • A standard high school diploma
  • A high school equivalency diploma as defined in Florida Statutes 1003.435
  • A signed affidavit submitted by the parent or legal guardian of a home education student attesting that the student has completed a home education program pursuant to the requirements of Florida Statutes 1002.41
  • Previously demonstrated competency in College credit post- secondary coursework in accordance with section 1007.263, Florida Statutes. The College defines this competency as any student who has received an associate degree (A.A., A.S., A.A.S.) or higher from a regionally accredited institution of higher education

Students who have attended other colleges must request that each previously attended college forward an official transcript of their records directly to the LSSC Registrar's Office either electronically or via US Mail,

Students are urged to request their transcripts as early as possible to ensure complete records and accurate academic advising. All official transcripts provided directly from the student must remain in the original sealed envelope provided by the previously attended institution. Any transcript received opened by the student will not be accepted.
