Dual Enrollment Students
The LSSC Dual Enrollment program provides an opportunity for qualified high school students to enroll in LSSC courses while concurrently enrolled in high school. To be eligible, students must meet academic requirements as described in the appropriate dual enrollment articulation agreement and be enrolled in a Florida public school, private school or home education program in Lake or Sumter Counties in compliance with applicable Florida statutes.
The Dual Enrollment program has different admission and registration requirements for Lake County, Sumter County, Early College and home education students. For information, please visit the Dual Enrollment website.
To apply for admission to the Dual Enrollment program, applicants should complete the following steps:
- Submit the LSSC online Admission Application
- Submit verification of the student's high school GPA (public and private high school students)
- Provide entry test scores from an approved test. Scores must meet the minimum requirements specified on the Dual Enrollment website
- High School Counselor approval from (public and private high school students)
Note: The application fee is waived for dual enrollment applicants
Admissions requirements for dual enrollment students accepted in specialized academies may vary.
Dual enrollment students who wish to continue at LSSC upon High School graduation should complete the following steps:
- Complete the online Readmission Application.
- Submit an official high school transcript that includes the high school graduation date (public and private high school students) or submit a signed affidavit attesting that the student has completed a home education program pursuant to the requirements of Florida Statutes 1002.41 (home education students)
