LSSC Student Email Account (Lakehawk Mail)

All enrolled students at LSSC have access to a Lakehawk Mail account. This email account will be the official means of communication between the College and LSSC students. The College uses Lakehawk Mail to notify students of important information regarding their account, course registration, deadlines, relevant policies and procedures, and other announcements. As described in the LSSC Student Code of Conduct, students should check their Lakehawk Mail on a daily basis.

This account provides the student with access to the Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, OneDrive, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Students will receive instructions to activate their Lakehawk Mail account through the personal email used to complete the admissions application.

Students may not forward their Lakehawk mail to another email address.

Inactive Account Deactivation

Students who have not been enrolled for more than three semesters will have their Lakehawk mail account deactivated and will lose access to any emails and documents. If a student later re-enrolls, their Lakehawk email address will remain the same, but no previous mail or file content can be recovered.

After a student graduates, the Lakehawk mail account will remain active for three semesters (approximately one year). When the account is deactivated, no mail or files will be retained.

Students are encouraged to export or backup any mail or files to retain access to this content after their account is deactivated. The LSSC Support Hub includes instructions on how to complete these backups.
