CET 2660  Network Security Fundamentals  (3 Credits )  
This course is an introduction to the language and underlying theory of computer security that covers the essential knowledge and skills for securing systems and/or organizations. Topics include: General Security Concepts, Communications Security, Infrastructure Security, Basics of Cryptography and Operational/Organizational Security. CompTIA Security+ objectives are used.

CET 2880  Digital Forensics  (3 Credits )  
The focus of the term will be the application of IT system forensics, investigation, and response skills. There will be an emphasis on the fundamentals of systems forensics, the tools, techniques, and methods used to perform computer forensics and investigation, and exploration of incident and intrusion response, emerging technologies, and future directions of this field. The student gains hands-on experience using various forensic investigation techniques and standard forensic tools necessary to successfully carry out a computer forensic investigation leading to prosecution of perpetrators.
