IDS-Interdisciplinary Studies

IDS 2941  Internship in Career Building  (1-3 Credits )  
This course is a field experience of organized experiential learning designed to provide students with the opportunity to actively participate in a business, agency and/or community service placement organization (internship partner) and complete a series of reflective and analytical exercises relevant to the internship experience. Students will be encouraged to think critically about their organization experience, become more knowledgeable about the relevant content area through the context of their field experience, and make a valuable contribution to the business, agency and/or community. Students will be required to participate in 50 contact hours per credit hour of planned work and instructional activities through the term.
