This course prepares teacher candidates to utilize criteria for analysis and evaluation of children's literature in terms of interests, needs, and abilities of children. Students will also participate in clinical experience within this course.

This course prepares teacher candidates in the content, principles, materials, and techniques involved in teaching, speaking, listening, writing, and spelling in the elementary school; organizing for instruction. Teacher candidates will complete assignments and practice methods and strategies developed in this course during field work in EDG 4943.
