MAT-Mathematics (MAT)

MAT 0014  Math Fundamentals  (3 Credits )  
This course emphasizes fundamental math concepts to prepare students for the first college-credit math course on their pathway. Operations with fractions, decimals, percentagess, and integers will be studied to master computations when working with expressions and formulas. Students will also solve linear equations and inequalities, work with the Cartesian Coordinate System, and apply fundamental concepts to a broad range of applications.

  
  
  
  

  
MAT 0055  Developmental Math II Modules  (1 Credit )  
This course includes operations with integers, decimals and fractions; solving linear equations, linear inequalities, word problems and simple quadratic equations; operations with exponents; factoring; and graphing lines.

MAT 1033  Intermediate Algebra  (3 Credits )  
This course includes the study of real numbers, linear and quadratic equations, linear inequalities, systems of linear equations, exponents, polynomials, factoring, rational expressions and related equations, radicals, quadratic formula, completing the square, complex numbers, absolute value, graphing, and applications.

  
Prerequisite: Successful completion of all developmental math courses indicated through placement testing
