MCB 2010C Microbiology w/Lab (4 Credits )
A survey of microbial forms with emphasis on bacteria, their morphology, physiology, and genetic mechanisms. This course provides laboratory support for the concepts taught in lecture.
Prerequisite: C or higher in BSC 2085C Successful completion of all developmental math, writing and reading courses indicated through placement testing. BSC 1010C strongly suggested prior to taking this course

Current and historical topics in microbial sciences will be discussed. Contents may include modern microbiology technological applications, environmental applications, historical and/or societal perspectives, epidemiology and research or special projects.
