New Student Orientation

New Student Advising and Registration (NSAR) is a required orientation for first-time in college students. NSAR is one of the most important steps that students take towards a successful transition to college. NSAR provides new students with an opportunity to connect with staff from academic advising, admissions and financial aid in addition to other new students and student orientation leaders. During the NSAR session, students will be introduced to key tools and resources necessary to have a successful academic career at LSSC along with their personalized Student Educational Plan (SEP) to aid in first semester course planning.

Key components of NSAR include:

  • The Registration Handbook
  • Course selection and scheduling
  • Introduction and use of online tools and support
  • Policies and procedures

To learn more about NSAR or to register for a session, visit www.lssc.edu/NSO. Transfer students are encouraged, but not required to complete the NSAR requirement.
